Born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Dr. Dionne Tatlow travelled to Edmonton, Alberta to complete a Bachelors of Physical Education (BPE), specializing in the health and wellness of children and youth. A keen interest in anatomy and manual therapy took her to the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in Toronto, Ontario where she obtained her degree as a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC); Graduating Magna Cum Laude with Clinic Honors and receiving the CCR Clinical Radiology Proficiency Award as well as the Istrati Memorial Family Award.
Once graduated, Dionne opened a small practice in Northern Saskatchewan where she practiced for six years before heading to the University of Regina to complete a MSc in Health Sciences (Thesis: Injury prevalence in Open Water Swimmers) while teaching at the UofR and practicing at the University Health Centre.
Following completion of her Masters, filled with a combined love of teaching, manual medicine and swimming, she accepted a teaching position with the Kinesiology Department at Okanagan College for the fall of 2023 and is excited to begin practice in Penticton!
Dionne is full body Active Release Techniques® (ART) certified, Graston Therapies and Activator Methods trained. She has completed additional accreditation with The Running Clinic and has worked with both masters and age-group swim teams as well as the Junior A hockey team in La Ronge. She was also fortunate enough to work with the USports athletes at the University of Regina (primarily hockey and basketball).
While working in a remote northern community, she also had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of individuals and enjoyed treating pregnant patients as well (Webster Technique certified).
She believes in lifelong education and thoroughly enjoys advancing her education, therapeutic & ‘problem-solving’ skills through various continuing education seminars and courses!
